You'll make an impact by

• Providing customs advisory support on customs regulations, import/export requirements, tariff classification, customs valuation, origin determination and customs procedures

• Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing business impacts, recommending practical compliance solutions

• Supporting customs audits, internal reviews, self-assessments, post-clearance audits and corrective actions

• Maintaining effective relationships with customs and government authorities, supporting inspections, inquiries and investigations

• Coordinating daily import and export operations and supporting customs clearance activities to ensure business continuity

• Analyzing trade data, duty payments and customs risks, identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization

Your defining qualities

• Bachelor degree or above in International Trade, Customs, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Law or related disciplines

• 3-8 years of experience in customs compliance, trade compliance, import/export operations, logistics or customs brokerage

• Solid knowledge of customs regulations, valuation, tariff classification and origin rules

• Experience interacting with customs authorities and external service providers (customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics providers)

• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP and customs systems is an advantage

• Experience utilizing AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Platform) to improve work efficiency is preferred

• Basic capability in data analytics, automation development, low-code/no-code application development or process digitalization is highly desirable

• Customs & Trade Compliance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classification, customs valuation, origin determination, and import/export procedures to provide strategic advisory support and ensure regulatory compliance

• Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal business units, customs authorities, brokers, logistics providers and regional/global teams to drive aligned outcomes

• Problem Solving & Analysis: Strong analytical capabilities to identify customs-related operational issues, assess business impacts, and develop practical compliance solutions

• Data Analytics & Digital Mindset: Capability to analyze trade data, duty payments and customs risks; ability to leverage digital tools and automation to improve operational efficiency and decision-making

• Project Coordination & Process Improvement: Experience in coordinating customs-related implementation projects, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing post-clearance reviews to enhance declaration accuracy

• Risk Management & Compliance: Ability to conduct customs audits, internal reviews and self-assessments; proactively identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions

• AI Adoption & Innovation: Passion for leveraging AI and digital technologies to transform customs function; ability to identify opportunities and independently drive digital improvement initiatives
