About the role
As a Full Stack Developer, you will help build user-facing applications and backend services for our Physical AI stack in China. You will work with the existing Suzhou Physical AI team on Level 2 robotics skills, including picking and placing applications, motion-planning related components, robotics connectivity, engineering tools, and operator-facing workflows.
This role combines modern web development with backend API engineering and industrial software integration. You will translate product and architecture concepts into reliable, maintainable solutions that connect intelligent robotics capabilities with intuitive user experiences.

Key responsibilities
Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full stack applications for Physical AI and robotics use cases
Building responsive, maintainable user interfaces with React and TypeScript
Developing robust backend services and REST APIs with Python and FastAPI
Defining clear frontend-backend contracts, data models, validation rules, error handling, and API documentation
Integrating applications with robotics services, motion-planning components, vision systems, device connectivity, and engineering tools
Implementing authentication, authorization, configuration, logging, diagnostics, and secure coding practices
Creating automated unit, integration, API, and UI tests and contributing to CI/CD workflows
Improving application performance, reliability, usability, and maintainability through sound software architecture
Collaborating with product owners, architects, algorithm developers, DevOps engineers, and robotics specialists
Supporting deployment, troubleshooting, and validation in lab, pilot, and customer-oriented environments
Applying AI-assisted engineering methods to code generation, documentation, testing, debugging, and quality improvement

Required qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Studying abroad is a plus, but not required
5+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of production-grade web applications
Strong hands-on programming experience with Python
Strong hands-on frontend development experience with React and TypeScript
Strong hands-on backend and API development experience with FastAPI
Solid understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, data validation, error handling, and API testing
Experience with relational or document databases, source control workflows, automated testing, and modern build toolchains
Good understanding of software architecture, modular design, code quality, security, and maintainability
Practical problem-solving mindset and comfort working in fast-moving, cross-functional engineering environments

Preferred qualifications
Experience with robotics, industrial automation, engineering software, or hardware/software integration
Experience with real-time status visualization, workflow editors, dashboards, or operator interfaces
Familiarity with containers, CI/CD, observability, and deployment to edge, on-premises, or cloud environments
Experience with WebSocket-based communication, event-driven systems, or integration-heavy applications
Exposure to AI/ML-enabled products, computer vision, vision-language models, or agentic applications
Experience working at a multinational corporation (MNC) is a plus
